Power Defender 165–350 Diagnostic Guide
The Power Defender manual separates basic operating symptoms from displayed fault conditions. The motor and control are assembled and calibrated as a set and contain no user-serviceable internal parts. The checks below stay inside that boundary.
Safety before service
Installation, operation, and maintenance are assigned to qualified personnel. Before handling electrical connections or performing maintenance, disconnect power at the breaker, prevent reconnection, allow the motor to stop, and wait four minutes for residual capacitor voltage to discharge. Use only the model’s nameplate voltage.
Basic operating symptoms

Power and load faults

Temperature and output faults

Interface and communication faults

Memory and profile faults

Model voltage boundary
The Power Defender 165 is the dual-voltage model and may use 115 or 230 VAC. The 225, 270, and 350 models require 230 VAC. The manual requires nominal supply within ±10%; do not apply the 165 model’s dual-voltage rule to the larger models.
