Waterway OASIS Wi-Fi Recovery Guide
Check the network first. OASIS uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi—not 5 GHz. The manual recommends no more than 100 feet between router and module and at least 10 feet between the module and motors or heavy electrical equipment.
OASIS Wi-Fi Recovery Guide
The OASIS manual provides a staged path for an app that will not start, will not connect, reports no internet, or must be moved to a new router. Work through the early checks before deleting and reconfiguring the controller.
Installation and signal requirements
- Use a 2.4 GHz home network; the manual explicitly excludes 5 GHz.
- Keep the OASIS Wi-Fi module at least 10 feet from motors and other heavy-duty electrical equipment.
- For the most reliable operation, keep the router-to-module distance at or below 100 feet.
- If the distance exceeds 100 feet, the manual suggests a repeater placed in the residence nearer the pool area.
App will not start or connect
- If the app will not start, try mobile internet instead of Wi-Fi.
- If the app will not connect, close it completely and relaunch it.
- If it still fails, log out and back in. Use the app’s Forgot Password flow if needed.
No Internet Connection recovery
- Turn the OASIS off at the breaker and wait one minute.
- Turn the OASIS on at the breaker, wait one minute, and test the app connection.
- If that fails, restart the home router, wait five minutes, and test again.
Only use a breaker you can identify and operate safely. Do not open the OASIS enclosure or perform wiring work as part of this connectivity sequence.
Reconnect OASIS to Wi-Fi
1. Delete the existing device
In the Waterway app, select the pencil beside the pool name, then select and confirm Delete Device.
2. Start a new-device configuration
Select Configure a Device, then Add New Device. At the app’s third step, stop and open the phone’s network settings.
3. Reset Wi-Fi from the OASIS panel
On OASIS, press MENU, select User Control, press RIGHT, press UP, then press RIGHT to change Reset WiFi to Yes. Press LEFT three times slowly to return to the main screen.
4. Join the temporary WaterW network
In the phone’s Wi-Fi settings, select the temporary WaterW network and allow it time to connect completely.
5. Return to the Waterway app
Press Next, select the 2.4 GHz home network, enter its password carefully, and wait for the app to configure OASIS. After configuration succeeds, rename the pool controller if desired.
After installing a new router
The manual says a newly installed network may require deleting the existing device and using Add New Device to connect the controller to the replacement network. Do not expect the stored connection to follow a changed network name or password automatically.
When to stop
If the temporary WaterW network never appears after the documented reset, the controller does not power normally, or the issue requires opening the enclosure, stop and use qualified Waterway service. This guide does not cover internal Wi-Fi-module or control-board repair.
