PoolDial and ServiceTitan both support pool service operations, but they suit very different company shapes. ServiceTitan is an enterprise operating platform that connects field service with sales, marketing, inventory, payroll, reporting, and multi-location control. PoolDial is a focused system for smaller pool companies growing from a first customer toward a crew. The real question is whether your company needs that enterprise depth today.
I’m Parker Conley, the founder of PoolDial, so read this as a vendor’s comparison rather than an independent ranking. My personal recommendation is labeled as opinion below.
They cover a lot of the same ground
There is meaningful overlap. ServiceTitan has an official pool service offering: its page says customers can check chemical readings in the portal, and its field app supports forms, photos, and notes.
- Scheduling, routes, dispatch, and recurring service
- Customer, location, equipment, and job history
- Mobile photos, notes, forms, and service records
- Estimates, invoices, payments, and QuickBooks
- Customer communication and online account access
- Chemical-reading records for pool customers
So ServiceTitan should not be described as unable to support pool work. It is a broad field-service platform for many trades rather than pool-only software, and the difference is the structure and scale surrounding that work.
Where each one stands out
A system for operational complexity
- Call booking, dispatch, scheduling, and recorded customer context
- Price books, multi-option estimates, financing, and payments
- Marketing attribution, campaigns, reviews, and unsold-estimate follow-up
- Inventory, purchasing, payroll, commissions, and advanced reporting
- Memberships, contracts, commercial workflows, and job profitability
- Enterprise controls for multiple locations and business units
If you need to coordinate a large, multi-location organization, ServiceTitan has far greater depth and operating history. Azureon selected it across pool construction and service operations, and its current terms say the service is intended for the United States and Canada. Enterprise Hub · Azureon · Terms
A focused foundation for a smaller pool company
- Pool-specific routes and mobile service work
- Structured readings, dosages, history, photos, and proof of service
- Customers, equipment, billing, payments, and QuickBooks
- Office and technician workflows without an enterprise implementation
- Regional currency and metric-unit settings
- Unlimited users under current published pricing, and direct founder access
The tradeoff: PoolDial is newer and less mature, with much less organizational depth and operating history than ServiceTitan.
Mobile App Experience
Your technicians will use the app at nearly every stop. These are each product’s own screens; ServiceTitan’s current technician app is ServiceTitan Field. The better test is your route on the devices your team already carries.
Different stages of public review history
ServiceTitan’s scores are a snapshot checked August 12, 2026 on Capterra and Google Play; the 3.8 is a simple average of the two. The platform and its field app tell different stories: Capterra reflects the overall product, while Google Play reflects the newer ServiceTitan Field app. PoolDial’s rating was checked October 28, 2026 in Apple’s App Store. Three ratings are far too few to compare with 906 reviews; these are dated platform scores, not a reliability test.
How pricing changes as you grow
PoolDial charges $2 per serviced pool with a $40 monthly minimum and unlimited users. ServiceTitan publishes packages, not dollar amounts: it prices per technician and offers Starter, Essentials, and The Works, but every package requires a quote. That is why each ServiceTitan row below says contact sales.
| Stage | PoolDial | ServiceTitan |
|---|---|---|
| Starting out0 techs · 0 pools | $40/mo | Contact sales |
| Solo route1 tech · 50 pools | $100/mo | Contact sales |
| Small team3 techs · 150 pools | $300/mo | Contact sales |
| Growing route5 techs · 300 pools | $600/mo | Contact sales |
| Established team15 techs · 750 pools | $1,500/moExtrapolated; contact sales | Contact sales |
| Large operation50 techs · 2,500 pools | $5,000/moExtrapolated; contact sales | Contact sales |
Illustrative monthly estimates, not quotes, from public pricing checked August 12, 2026. Modules and implementation can affect ServiceTitan’s total, so ask for a complete quote. PoolDial’s last two rows extrapolate beyond 500 pools, where PoolDial asks companies to contact sales. PoolDial pricing · ServiceTitan pricing
Founder’s take
My impression is that ServiceTitan is for much larger companies that need cross-department process, reporting, sales, and multi-location controls. If you need enterprise process, take ServiceTitan seriously.
I built PoolDial for smaller pool companies that want focused software, a modern product, and direct access to the founder shaping it with them. That is my positioning judgment, not a firsthand ServiceTitan migration study.
Put both products through the same day
Match the system to the organization you actually have. Test the organization, not just the technician app:
- Complete a recurring route with readings, dosages, photos, and customer proof.
- Run a repair from call booking through estimate, payment, and accounting.
- Map who owns dispatch, price books, inventory, payroll, marketing, and reporting.
- Request a complete ServiceTitan quote for technicians, modules, implementation, and contract terms.
Then ask yourself two questions. Does my company have the size and operational complexity to benefit from an enterprise implementation? And would I value cross-department controls more than pool-specific focus and direct founder access?
Details worth checking
- Contract and implementation
- Ask ServiceTitan to put contract length, implementation, and cancellation terms in the quote (packages). PoolDial is month to month and can be canceled from account settings.
- Financing and marketing
- ServiceTitan includes customer financing and a deeper marketing suite. PoolDial does not offer customer financing, and its marketing tools are basic.
- QuickBooks Online
- Both connect. Test the records your bookkeeper needs in either product.
- Phone handling
- PoolDial includes an AI Receptionist that answers calls and captures leads. ServiceTitan offers call booking with recording and customer context for office teams. Compare what fits your call volume and staff.
- Taking your data with you
- PoolDial has import and export tools. Ask both for a sample export with the customer, equipment, and service history records you need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can ServiceTitan handle pool service?
Yes. ServiceTitan has an official pool service offering. Its page says customers can check chemical readings in the portal, and its field app supports forms, photos, and notes. Azureon selected it across pool construction and service operations. The difference from PoolDial is the scale and structure around that work, not whether it can run a pool route.
How does ServiceTitan pricing compare with PoolDial?
ServiceTitan prices per technician and offers Starter, Essentials, and The Works, but every package requires a quote, and modules and implementation can affect the total. PoolDial charges $2 per serviced pool with a $40 monthly minimum and unlimited users, so a 150-pool route is about $300 a month. Both were checked August 12, 2026.
Which should a larger pool company choose?
As PoolDial’s founder, my recommendation for a much larger company that needs cross-department process, reporting, and multi-location controls is ServiceTitan. PoolDial is currently the strongest fit for businesses up to roughly 200 pools and a few employees.
Is ServiceTitan available outside the United States?
ServiceTitan’s current terms say the service is intended for use within the United States and Canada. PoolDial supports regional currencies and metric units. Confirm availability for your country with each vendor before buying.
Can I switch from ServiceTitan to PoolDial?
Review your ServiceTitan contract terms first. PoolDial can review your export and help import supported customer and route data. Confirm service history, invoices, and stored payment methods separately, and run a sample migration before switching.
Choose PoolDial for smaller pool companies growing from their first customer toward their first crew that want focused software, a modern product, and direct access to the founder shaping it.
Choose ServiceTitan if you run a much larger operation in the United States or Canada that needs cross-department process, enterprise reporting, inventory, payroll, and multi-location controls.
If ServiceTitan is working well for your organization, staying with it can be the right decision too. For a deeper look at ServiceTitan on its own, read our ServiceTitan review, or see the pool service software guide for a broader view of your options.
