PoolDial and PoolProof are both newer pool service platforms, and neither was started by someone who had previously run a pool service company. PoolProof emphasizes structured operations that keep a growing company running as routes, technicians, and office work become more complex. PoolDial focuses on smaller companies that want a modern product, international settings, and direct access to the founder building it.

I’m Parker Conley, the founder of PoolDial, so read this as a vendor’s comparison rather than an independent ranking. My personal recommendation is labeled as opinion below.

They cover a lot of the same ground

The overlap is real. Both products are built around pool service operations.

  • Recurring routes, scheduling, and technician field work
  • Water readings, chemical usage, and service documentation
  • Customers, equipment, service history, and portals
  • Quotes, work orders, invoices, payments, and QuickBooks
  • Photos, required processes, and proof of service
  • Newer products still developing their public track records

Both are new enough that you should test the workflows that matter instead of relying on a long review history. The practical difference is how much operating structure your business needs today, and how closely you want to work with the people building the software.

Where each one stands out

Structured operations for a growing team

  • Digital dispatching and route rebalancing when plans change
  • Service plans and areas that standardize pricing and processes
  • Approval thresholds, inventory, fleet, and issue tracking
  • Centralized communication and self-service customer signup
  • White-glove migration, configuration, and team training
  • A published volume-pricing conversation for 10+ technicians

PoolProof describes itself as built for growing and scaling pool companies, and those signals support evaluating it for a larger team. Onboarding is demo-led rather than self-serve. Features · About PoolProof

A modern foundation for a smaller company

  • Focused on ambitious owners growing from 0 to 300 pools
  • Pool-specific routes, chemistry, service proof, and history
  • Customers, equipment, repairs, billing, and QuickBooks
  • Unlimited users under the current published pricing
  • Regional currencies and metric-unit settings
  • Direct access to the founder and a close product feedback loop

The tradeoff: PoolDial has a smaller team and less operating history. Its case is modern product design, international settings, and founder access, not greater operating maturity.

Mobile App Experience

Your technicians will use the app at nearly every stop. These are each product’s own screens; with little public review history on either side, the better test is your own route on your team’s devices.

Apple App Store 5.0 (3 ratings)

A newer product with a very small sample so far

PoolProof’s listings were checked August 14, 2026 on Capterra, which showed zero reviews, and the U.S. App Store, which did not have enough ratings to show an overview. PoolDial’s rating was checked October 28, 2026 in Apple’s App Store. Three ratings are too few to call a winner either; demo both products rather than reading a result into missing data.

How pricing changes as you grow

PoolDial charges $2 per serviced pool with a $40 monthly minimum and unlimited users. PoolProof’s annual plan is $249 a month billed annually, including 5 users, plus $40 a month for each additional user; monthly billing starts at $299. PoolDial is lower for a solo route; from the 3-tech, 150-pool example upward, PoolProof’s published price is lower.

Large operation50 techs · 2,500 pools $5,000/moVolume pricing available $2,049/moBefore volume pricing

Illustrative estimates, not quotes, from published pricing checked August 14, 2026. PoolProof figures use the annual plan and assume one user per technician with no extra office users. PoolProof invites companies with 10 or more techs to discuss unpublished volume pricing, so the 15- and 50-tech figures may be lower. PoolDial asks companies above 500 pools to contact sales for volume discounts. PoolDial pricing · PoolProof pricing

Founder’s take

I have not spoken with PoolProof customers or companies considering a switch. My recommendation of PoolProof for larger companies comes from a direct conversation with its team and from its public operating model, not customer evidence.

Both products were built by people from outside pool-company operations. I would evaluate PoolProof for a larger operation that wants more structured implementation and controls.

I built PoolDial for smaller pool companies that want a modern product, documented international settings, and direct access to the founder shaping it with them.

Put both products through the same day

Match the implementation to the company size. Give both products the same operating test:

  1. Configure a real route, service plan, and required pool-stop process.
  2. Rebuild the week after a technician absence or weather disruption.
  3. Complete a stop with chemistry, photos, and proof, and carry a repair through quote, invoice, payment, and QuickBooks.
  4. Verify users, migration, exports, currencies, units, taxes, and country support.

Ask for a sample export, and price every technician and office user. International operators should verify currencies, units, taxes, payments, accounting, and support directly instead of assuming either product can or cannot handle them. Then ask yourself two questions. Do I need multi-area process controls and white-glove implementation, or a simpler system I can shape directly with the founder? And can each product prove the currencies, units, taxes, payments, and accounting workflows required in my country?

Details worth checking

Signup and onboarding
PoolDial is self-serve with a free trial. PoolProof starts with a demo and includes white-glove migration, configuration, and training (pricing and onboarding).
Chemistry
Both record water readings and dosing, with LSI. PoolProof can require specific readings by service plan. Run your own readings through both.
Phone answering and AI
PoolDial includes 24/7 AI phone answering and an assistant, Cody, that answers questions and takes supported actions. PoolProof offers AI chat for customer messages in its inbox; it did not offer AI phone answering when this comparison was first written.
Team and vehicles
PoolDial shows live technician locations. PoolProof tracks fleet vehicles and maintenance. Confirm which one your operation needs.
Contracts, currency, and data
PoolDial has no contract and has import and export tools. PoolProof’s terms of service cover currency and data portability; read them and ask for a sample export.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does PoolProof cost?

As checked August 14, 2026, PoolProof’s annual plan is $249 a month billed annually, and monthly billing starts at $299. Both include 5 users, with $40 a month for each additional user, and teams with 10 or more techs can discuss volume pricing. PoolDial is $2 per serviced pool with a $40 monthly minimum and unlimited users.

Is PoolDial or PoolProof cheaper?

It depends on your size. PoolDial is lower for a solo route, about $100 a month at 50 pools against PoolProof’s $249. From the 3-tech, 150-pool example upward, PoolProof’s published price was lower in our August 14, 2026 estimates.

Which should a larger pool company choose?

As PoolDial’s founder, I would evaluate PoolProof for a larger operation that wants structured implementation and controls. PoolDial is currently the strongest fit for businesses up to roughly 200 pools and a few employees.

Does PoolProof have public reviews?

Not a meaningful score yet. On August 14, 2026, Capterra showed zero PoolProof reviews and the U.S. App Store did not have enough ratings to show an overview. PoolDial has three five-star ratings so far, which is also too few to compare. Demo both products instead.

Can I switch from PoolProof to PoolDial?

PoolDial can review your export and help import supported customer and route data. Confirm service history, attachments, invoices, and stored payment methods separately. A sample migration is the best way to see what will transfer before switching.

Our Verdict: Choose Based on Fit

Choose PoolDial for owners growing from their first customer toward their first crew who want a modern product, documented international settings, and direct founder access.

Choose PoolProof if you run a larger or fast-growing team that needs dispatching, service plans and areas, approval thresholds, and white-glove implementation. Confirm the workflows in a live demo first.

If your current system is working well, staying with it can be the right decision too. For a deeper look at PoolProof on its own, read our PoolProof review, or see the pool service software guide for a broader view of your options.
