This interactive troubleshooting wizard is designed specifically for the Pentair Prowler 910 (and Warrior SL) robotic aboveground pool cleaner. The Prowler 910 is a self-contained robotic cleaner that scrubs, vacuums, and filters your aboveground pool with its own motor and top-loading filter basket. A full cleaning cycle lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
Select the "Homeowner" role for safe, practical checks you can perform yourself, or switch to "Technician" mode for detailed diagnostic procedures including impeller inspection, track replacement, and electrical troubleshooting.
Cable twisting on the Prowler 910 is commonly caused by obstructions in the pool, the cleaner getting stuck on a main drain cover, or excess cable in the pool. Remove any obstructions, install a main drain cover ring if needed, and remove excess cable from the pool. Periodically straighten the cable and lay it in the sun to remove kinks.
Circular movement typically indicates dirt stuck in the moving parts, worn tracks, incorrect power supply placement, a misaligned bottom lid, or algae in the pool. Clean dirt from moving parts, check tracks for wear, reposition the power supply so the cleaner can reach all walls, and correct pool water conditions if algae is present.
If the Prowler 910 will not sink, air is likely trapped inside the cleaner body. Turn the cleaner upside down underwater to release trapped air. Also wash the filter cartridge and remove any calcium deposits or chemical sediments that may be blocking water flow. Open the inlet flap in the bottom lid to release dirt and trapped air.
The Pentair Prowler 910 is designed to operate in water temperatures between 43 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit (6 to 35 degrees Celsius). Operating the cleaner outside this range may affect performance or cause damage.
